suzhou is a city of over 6,000,000 people located 60 km from shanghai. this industrial park was designed to function as a smaller town within this large, urban city. it contains twelve residential towers, a clubhouse, an outdoor theatre, commercial space and several smaller, open-air elements that give character and human scale to the large development. the following teahouse and outdoor cooking area (left) are two of these elements.
